Established in 1989, Wilson Property Management, Inc. (WPM) is a full-service management company specializing in both homeowner association management and residential rental management. Founded by Judy Wilson, the company was built on a simple philosophy: provide leasing, management, and sales services with a personal touch.
In 2002, Judy Wilson retired and passed the business to her daughter, Beth Black, and son-in-law, Jeb Black, who continued to grow the company while maintaining its core values. Today, WPM is entering an exciting new chapter of family leadership. With Jeb Black now retired, Beth Black remains at the helm, alongside the next generation—her daughter, Amber Black—who is stepping in to help lead the company into the future.
Wilson Property Management currently manages 11 associations, approximately 1,100 individual rental units, and operates three on-site offices. Through its experienced staff, WPM maintains active memberships in leading industry organizations, including the
National Association of Realtors,the Raleigh Regional Association of Realtors, the Community Associations Institute (CAI), the National Board of Certification for Community Association Managers (NBC-CAM), and the National Apartment Association (NAA).WPM is committed to professional excellence and strongly encourages continuing education for all employees. This ensures that team members stay current with licensing requirements and remain knowledgeable in the ever-evolving property management industry.
The company utilizes AppFolio, a modern property management software platform designed to efficiently support both association and rental management operations.
Wilson Property Management is fully insured, carrying both liability and workers’ compensation coverage through Auto-Owners Insurance, providing peace of mind to clients and residents alike.

I rented a home from Wilson Property Management for about 4 years, until the owners decided to sell, which was not surprising given the location and market. The home was wonderful, and Wilson did a great job managing the property. Helen initially showed me the property and managed it for most of the lease. She was easy to work with and always responded to questions or issues quickly, whether via phone or email. She also kept me informed when the lease was coming up for renewal, made the renewal process simple, kept the rental price reasonable and fair in an inflating market, notified me when the owners eventually decided to sell, and answered some of my anxious questions while the home was listed, which provided me helpful information that assuaged my concerns.
I didn't have many maintenance issues, but when I did, she or other staff engaged maintenance rapidly, and the problem was usually addressed within a day or two. The maintenance staff was also considerate and professional and always called ahead to make sure their arrival would be convenient.
I'd certainly rent from WPM again. Many thanks to WPM and Helen.
